VATTENFALL STOLE OUR CAMERA
Hi All
We of course share your outrage at our camera being stolen and we truly appreciate all your kind messages of support. We now know who stole our camera. As many of you suspected, it was indeed Vattenfall who stole our camera. The depths this multi billion pound, Swedish company will go to, to cover up the existence of wildcats in the Clashindarroch is astonishing. Despite their own ecologists producing reports of wildcats in the Clashindarroch, their own website states that none exist there. Now they have stooped even lower by deliberately sabotaging the efforts of others to find them.
It is an act of desperation on their behalf, because they know we consistently find wildcats and this camera was right in the heart of the planned windfarm. Well, if they think this will put us off, they are wrong. We are now committed to hugely increasing our camera trap coverage across the site. We will ramp up our activities and presence in the area.
Also, many of you have suggested putting cameras out to monitor other cameras, so that if someone steals one, then the other camera will record it. A lot of you also suggested the use of minute GPS trackers placed within the cameras and also the use of cameras that transit live footage and would trigger an alarm if tampered with.
These are all fantastic ideas and we simply haven’t had the need to deploy such tactics before. But now everything has changed.
So, we intend to deploy all the above techniques right across the Clashindarroch. Vattenfall will not know when they are being watched and if they commit any more illegal activity we will catch them in the act.
Also, they are still the subject of a criminal investigation. They stole our camera and indeed that criminal act has been confirmed. So lets hopetheyare fully held to account.
All we have ever asked, is that the priceless Clashindarroch wildcats are left alone to live and breed in peace. We have been met with lies, deceit, suppression of data and now theft. However, the more they push back, the more determined we become and so with the right resources, we will massively ramp up our activities and the technology we use.
We plan to buy more camera traps, GPS trackers and live cameras and deploy them immediately. If you want to contribute to this fighting fund, then you can do so at this link. We cannot allow them to get way with this:

Thanks as always for your support. The stakes are getting higher and we will respond accordingly.
Many more updates to come on the Kittens and a certain other wildcat, who has recently made a surprise appearance.
Very best wishes
Emily and a very fired up Wildcat Haven Team.
