SUCH RAW BEAUTY 😻

Hi All

Thanks for all of your support about the Clashindarroch.  There is now a clear route to stop the activities and we will be pushing the authorities extremely hard this coming week. More updates to follow.

We of course find and monitor wildcats all across Scotland from the North East in Aberdeenshire, to the South west in Argyll. Indeed, we are the only organisation to be actively doing so. It is hard but exhilarating work. However, when we get images like this on camera, it makes it all worthwhile. It also reminds us exactly why we fight for each and every wildcat. They are just so special.

This is Eve in full winter coat. The image has been cropped to not reveal the location.  If you zoom in, you can see a haze of guard hairs around her. The Scottish wildcat is perfectly adapted and in winter, it's multi layered coat, makes it immune from even the harshest of weather. Just look at her, she is difficult to describe. Majestic, beautiful, charismatic, mesmerising, magical, take your pick. And those eyes, wow!!!!!!!!!!!

As you can tell, we love these wildcats and we know you do to.

We all collectively need to ensure that wildcats like Eve, can continue to live and breed in the wild where they belong (oh and don’t worry, her kittens are fine, they are becoming reassuringly independent). The Highlands without wildcats just wouldn’t be the same. It would be empty and would lose an ‘essence’ that cannot be quantified or articulated in any report.

Our efforts are only limited by funds and we raise most of our funds for the whole year in the run up to Christmas. Those funds as you know, are needed more than ever.

There is less than 3 weeks to go until Christmas. So, if you are looking for a thoughtful gift for someone special this Christmas, then please consider adopting a Scottish wildcat. You can do so here:

https://www.wildcathaven.com/our-adoption-packs

The adoption packs cost £25 plus postage. We can send packs all over the world. As you go through the online process you can nominate whose name you want on the gift certificate. The pack can either be delivered to you, so that you can give the gift pack in person, or it can be delivered directly to the intended recipient.

The adoption pack contains the following:

1. A personalised certificate

2. A wildcat print

3. A wildcat pin badge

4. Information about the Scottish wildcat

5. The knowledge that you are helping save this beautiful wild animal

Please email us at admin@wildcathaven.co.uk if you have any questions.

You can also visit our online shop and buy one of our wildcat tartan scarves, soft toy or calendar:

https://www.wildcathaven.com/store

We know that many of you have already done so and we are truly grateful for that

We really appreciate your support and we will have more updates coming very soon.

We really hope you enjoy seeing this special picture of Eve.

Many thanks in advance
