The depths that Vattenfall will stoop to in their attempts to stop us are incredible. They are trying to intimidate us from every angle, to distract us from our cause.
Before we say any more, please keep this at the forefront of your mind. Vattenfall is owned entirely by the Swedish Government. It is muti billion pound company whose parent entity is the Swedish State.
Not content with stealing cameras, physically intimidating our staff in their attempts to find wildcats, they have now tried to legally intimidate us. They must be so rattled. In a recent letter they have threatened to try and bankrupt us and close down our organisation. Can you believe it?
The letter they have sent is absurd. It is littered with errors and doesn’t even refer to the correct legal jurisdiction. It is just a blatant attempt to try and dissuade us from our current course of action. They are fully aware of the information we have against them, and if successful in the upcoming legal challenge, we can stop the whole development. We know it and they clearly do too.
The Swedish government is using intimidation to obstruct our efforts to protect Scottish wildcats in their main wild stronghold. This is sickening.
Luckily, we have a very experienced legal team who have dealt with and completely nullified the recent notice letter they sent. Many other organisations would not even dare to pursue the legal and conservation actions in the face of such pressure. However, as you know by now, we will never be deterred. We read all of your comments and messages and we clearly feel and share your sense of injustice and complete disbelief at what has and is happening.
Don’t worry. The more they try and intimidate, the stronger our resolve becomes. We fight on, supported by you and protected by our lawyers. We will not stop, we will not be bullied. We will fight hard and with ferocity, just like the Scottish wildcat that we are determined to protect.
